Environmental Perspectives carried out the scoping exercise and the project management of the EIA for redevelopment of a large scale former oil refinery, for the importation of liquefied natural gas (LNG).

New Eltham, Novalong
We have undertaken an EIA for the redevelopment of a former sports ground for a residential led scheme within SE London. We also undertook detailed socio-economic assessments and a sustainability assessment.
Highwood Hospital, Brentwood PCT
We undertook an EIA screening exercise for a major redevelopment as part of the disposal of an existing hospital site, as part of a mixed use scheme, as well as undertaking the project management of a range of technical environmental assessments.

Northern Quarter, Portsmouth
We provided the air quality and noise monitoring and assessment works for the redevelopment of a large site in the centre of the city.
Oriental City Redevelopment
Currently undertaking the EIA for the redevelopment of Oriental City on Edgware Road in London. The development proposals include a B&Q Warehouse and mixed tenure residential units. We were responsible for the co-ordination of internal specialists and sub-consultants and the preparation of an Environmental Statement in support of the planning application.
High Wycombe Town Centre EIA
Major town centre redevelopment for a large scale, multi-use proposal. Key areas to address related to the underlying major aquifer, groundwater protection designation and contaminated land.
RAF Staff College Bracknell
Environmental input for the redevelopment of a former RAF Staff college in the centre of Bracknell for George Wimpy. This included the archaeological, contamination and ecological surveys and subsequent mitigation works for a major residential regeneration scheme.

Wembley – London Development Agency
Invasive species and ecological constraints assessment for a site associated with the Wembley Stadium development. This identified the extent of coverage of Japanese knotweed and the potential costs associated with a range of treatment and remedial actions.
Olympic Joint Planning Advisory Team (JPAT) Undergrounding Powerlines
Provided advice and legal review of the Olympic site undergrounding powerlines scheme with regard to the EIA regulations, and determination of key environmental sensitivities and mitigation works. Key aspects in relation to ecology, contamination, noise and air quality were reviewed and recommendations for further controls given.
Fenchurch Street EIA
Undertook the project management on a major tall building project for Land Securities within the city of London. Key issues on the site related to the known archaeological value of the area, the potential wind impacts and daylight / sunlight and overshadowing.

EIA screening and environmental appraisal report for a tall building scheme close to London Bridge station for Shearer Properties, including daylight / sunlight, sustainability assessment, BREEAM, noise and air quality statements. Liaison with the local authority and design teams resulted in a bespoke environmental package required for planning.
Chemical Storage, Grangemouth EIA
An Environmental Scoping study of the development of a chemical storage facility in the Grangemouth Dock area in an area close to an environmentally sensitive area (pSPA, SAC, SSSI, RAMSAR) for wading birds and other waterfowl. Mitigation measures and changes in the operation of the facility were implemented as part of the environmental assessment.
White Hart Triangle, East London
Detailed species and habitat surveys and the relocation of protected species to alternative suitable habitat within statutory authority requirements. Project management of reptile relocation plans and creation of supplementary habitats and ecological management plans to compensate for habitat loss due to the development of contaminated land for the London Development Agency, for commercial use.
Portsmouth Northern Quarter EIA
Project managed the Environmental Impact Assessment ES Chapters for noise, air quality and sustainability for a major town centre regeneration for Centros Miller in Portsmouth.
Princesshay Environmental Manager
Environmental liaison for Land Securities for the Construction Environmental Management Plan (CEMP) for a major town centre redevelopment in Exeter. Key issues related to the ecology of the site, noise and air quality impacts from the construction phase and liaison with Exeter City Council and key contractors.

Undertook an initial review of the key noise and air quality aspects associated with the enabling works for Paddington CrossRail project, with environmental liaison with internal teams and workshops on the Best Practicable Environmental Option (BPEO).
Kings Cross EIA EMP
Production of Environmental Management Plan for a Network Rail Level 4 Outline Design for Platform 0 extension works as part of the overall Kings Cross redevelopment.
Heathrow Terminal 5 – Perry Oaks STW
Preliminary contamination assessment, contractual and legal positioning with regard to contamination levels and potential liabilities following reuse of contaminated spoil, for relocation of a sewage sludge treatment and transfer site to free the site for the development of terminal 5 at Heathrow.
The Friary, Guildford
Worked closely with Westfield Design undertaking the sustainability and environmental appraisal project; using BREEAM Retail and EcoHomes the detailed designs for this mixed-use scheme were evaluated and continually improved. The project includes 22,500sqm of new retail space, residential dwellings above, a new bus station and community space.
Victoria Square
This was a £200 million mixed-use scheme considered to be a catalyst for urban renewal in Belfast city centre. Working for AM Development UK Ltd, alongside the design team including BDP architects, provided sustainable design advice and assessment using BREEAM Retail.
The Shires, Leicester
Working with Hammerson and five architecture practices, provided environment support and appraisal of the designs of both the retail and residential components of this £350 million development of a new retail quarter.
Park Place, Croydon
Provided sustainable design advice and oversaw the BREEAM for Retail assessment of Park Place, a £500million retail scheme covering one million sq feet of floor area for Minerva.
